As a Product Engineer specializing in brake discs, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and enhancement of brake systems for commercial vehicles. Your expertise in mechanical engineering will drive innovations in brake disc technology, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop brake disc models using CAD software according to industry and company specifications.
  • Conduct simulations and stress tests to validate designs and ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to oversee the production process, ensuring designs are executed accurately.
  • Lead the troubleshooting and refinement of brake disc designs based on test results and feedback from field applications.
  • Work closely with supply chain and material specialists to select appropriate materials that meet cost and performance criteria.
  • Maintain documentation throughout the engineering process in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in brake system engineering and incorporate relevant innovations into designs.
  • Assist the sales and marketing teams by providing technical expertise and support for customer inquiries and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in product development, ideally in the automotive or brake system industry.
  • Strong proficiency with CAD software and engineering simulation tools.
  • Solid understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes related to automotive brake systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
