Our client is a rapidly growing brake supplier, specializing in providing high-quality brake components to the traditional automotive aftermarket segment. With a commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, the company seeks a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales for the US region to lead the sales strategy and drive growth in this critical market.

The role will develop and execute the sales strategy to expand the market presence, increase revenue, and achieve sales targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership, specifically within the automotive aftermarket industry. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the traditional automotive aftermarket, strong leadership skills, and the ability to foster and maintain key customer relationships. Experience in the brake category is ideal.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals in the US.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with the company’s sales goals.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners in the automotive aftermarket segment.
  • Develop and implement customer retention and expansion strategies.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve targets.
  • Report on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives to the executive team.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with major customers and partners.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in the automotive aftermarket industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Background in the aftermarket brake segment is preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the traditional automotive aftermarket segment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
