The Chief Formulator position will be responsible for designing and developing new copper-free and NAO formulations for various brake pad applications. The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker, dedicated to improving product performance and efficiency while maintaining the highest levels of safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Researching, developing, and formulating new and existing materials to improve brake pad performance and durability.
• Collaborating with the engineering and quality control teams to ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements and industry standards.
• Conducting routine testing of materials for characteristics such as friction, wear, and heat resistance.
• Evaluating raw materials and developing cost-effective strategies.
• Documenting all stages of the formulation process and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry innovations and trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience with successfully launching OE or aftermarket brake pad applications
• Has successfully developed and validated copper-free and NAO brake pad applications.
• In-depth knowledge of material properties, especially regarding friction materials.
• Familiarity with automotive safety and performance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in using computer software and applications designed for data analysis.
