The Director of Sales (US) will be responsible for driving business development and fostering positive relationships with automotive retailers within the US region. This role requires an individual with a strong background in sales leadership within the automotive aftermarket, particularly in the brake industry. The Director of Sales will be tasked with expanding the company’s market presence and achieving sustainable growth through strategic sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities to increase the company’s presence in the automotive aftermarket.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with automotive retailers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies aimed at achieving and surpassing revenue targets.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to align efforts and optimize outcomes.
- Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, performance analysis, and strategic insights to the executive team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of sales leadership experience within the automotive aftermarket, with a preference for experience in the brake industry.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and exceed sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the automotive retail landscape and key industry players.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with clients and attend industry events.
